The focus shifts to tactical support missions on Germany’s Eastern Front, 1941 - 1945 in this module. Sturmoviks dive on panzer columns while Me-109s sweep in to ensure the advance continues.  Stukas equipped with 37mm cannon strafe massive Soviet armored formations, trying to stem the unstoppable tides.  This expansion booklet contains statistics for 57 aircraft, additional rules for low level AA, strafing, 9 scenarios, and a Kursk campaign. This is not a complete game, you must have Red Sun, Blue Sky.

Red Star, Blue Sky is a collection of scenarios, ground attack rules, aircraft data cards, and new rules for use with the Red Sun, Blue Sky or Black Cross, Blue Sky miniatures games.  Red Star, Blue Sky recreates air-to-ground and aerial combat on the Eastern Front in World War II.  Simple game mechanics let you focus on leading a squadron or more of aircraft into harms way.  Dive on massive formations of T-34s with your cannon equipped Stukas, trying to stop the unstoppable Soviet armored onslaught.  Dive on the circling German fighters with your inadequate MiG-3s, trying to keep your bombers safe.  Or lead your Il-2 Sturmoviks to their target, braving enemy fighters and light flak, dropping your bombs on the advancing panzers!
